On LGHL’s Play Like a Girl podcast, Meredith Hein and Kelsey Trainor talk everything from Ohio State football to all the happenings in the sports world today.
Welcome back! Excited to have Kelsey back with us this week after her epic trip to Las Vegas to watch the Aces.
On this week’s edition of Play Like a Girl, Meredith and Kelsey talked all things sports media — from the ESPY Awards (shoutouts to Naomi Osaka and Paige Buecker) to Emmy-nominated Nike ads and new Nike ads (giving us all the feels) to NBA Finals reporting drama (we love you, Maria Taylor!).
The pair also got back to one of the hottest issues in college sports: name, image and likeness. That’s because Terrelle Pryor and the other Ohio State players involved in Tattoo-Gate more than a decade ago are asking for their records to be reinstated. But NIL rules, like pretty much anything the NCAA touches, isn’t as straightforward as it seems.
