It is Easter evening, and the disciples aren’t out celebrating Jesus’ resurrection, or even looking for him - dead or alive. Instead, they’ve fearfully locked themselves in a place of hiding. While this isn’t an entirely unreasonable response, it is definitely not the gut reaction Jesus had in mind.
