The NBA has said they will not punish players who wish to sit out, but some players are adamant their voice hasn't been heard. Players such as Carmelo Anthony of the Portland Trailblazers, Dwight Howard of the Los Angeles Lakers, and Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz spoke up as well.

Resuming basketball is not an easy decision for players. Each player has their own family to consider as well as the broader issues with racial inequality. The Lakers Jared Dudley and Rockets Austin Rivers have shown support in resuming basketball and using that platform to fight against racial issues and police brutality.
