The controversial bill AB 5 became law the first of the new year.  The bill, aimed at gig economy giants such as Uber, Lyft, Postmates, and Door Dash, was a means to bring contracted associates as regular employees with full benefits that any other employee would receive.  However this law did not think of most associates who want the freedom of being a contracted employee and therefore are in opposition of AB 5.  Also.  This law not only goes after Gig jobs it threatens the livelihood of small business owners, artists and other sole proprietary positions where people are just getting started to pave their own path in the business world.   Today we have four people who oppose this law and are looking to have it overturned.
