Today on the news, fire information officer Nick Howell gives us a tour of the ‘mini-city’ at the Old Spanish Trail Arena. As firefighters continue making gains on the Pack Creek Fire’s containment, Howell and the rest of the Great Basin Team #4 are preparing to hand over leadership to local agencies at the end of the week. The team reports that this fire could have been much worse without the mitigation efforts of local fire fuels management.
