Moab City Police Chief Bret Edge has taken a leave of absence. The confirmation of his leave comes days after Moab City announced they would investigate any breach of police department policy during their August 12th interaction with Gabrielle Petito and Brian Laundrie outside of Arches National Park. In recent weeks, the local police department has faced scrutiny on a local and national scale. And, volunteers from Ancestral Lands Conservation Corps floated the river to clean up trash on National Public Lands Day. Plus, demonstrators in our region are demanding a pathway to citizenship in federal legislation.
