It’s often low-key and relaxed in downtown Moab on a winter afternoon. It can be so low-key and relaxed, that you might even notice a little music. It’s coming from Talan Wilhelm, playing his recorder in a few select spots. Today on the news, an audio portrait featuring Wilhelm and his musical ambiance. Plus, the Department of Energy’s Office of Legacy Management is turning their focus to abandoned uranium mines on tribal land. They are studying defense-related mines used for the U.S. nuclear program. The vast majority of these mines on tribal land are on the Navajo Nation.
