The Southeast Utah Health Department released their phased ‘reopening’ plan for Grand County, which could move forward as soon as Friday. It closely aligns with a statewide plan for reopening business with one big exception – overnight lodging and camping. Grand County’s plan limits overnight lodging capacity and keeps camping closed to nonresidents. Reopening Utah’s local economies during a health crisis is not a straightforward issue. Each community is unique, and there are many factors involved including public health, safety, and well…politics. So on today’s news, we speak with Grand County Attorney Christina Sloan, who has closely tracked this planned reopening on a state and local level.
