Community members voiced frustrations about a $1.7 million property tax increase in Grand County’s proposed 2020 budget during a public hearing this week. County officials say the increase will amend a deficit created from pay raises for government employees as well as rising costs across several departments. In other county news, the council is considering enacting a noise ordinance, due to an increasing number of complaints. Plus, Logan City becomes the third municipality in Utah to ban plastic bags.
