Moab City's elected officials are considering raising the property tax rate from zero for the first time in 30 years, citing future infrastructure projects and law enforcement staffing needs. And last night during a public hearing, Moab residents had an opportunity to tell those officials what they thought. Many expressed a similar sentiment - that the property tax is yet another burden on an already stressed community. Plus, a shelter for people experiencing domestic violence is reopening in Blanding.
