Today on the extended newscast, we speak with Bradon Bradford and Orion Rogers of the Southeast Utah Health Department. It's now been one month since they first shuttered overnight lodging to nonessential visitors. Although that lodging order remains in place, they are now asking businesses who cater mainly to locals to submit a COVID-19 mitigation plan. The health department wants to know what measures these businesses would implement to keep staff and customers safe if they reopened during this health pandemic. We speak with Bradford and Rogers about this ask, which gives some insight into what ‘phasing in’ our economy might look like in the future.
