Gateway communities like Moab are dealing with increasing pressures from population and tourism growth, which can mean uncomfortable changes – from a dearth in affordable housing to the perceived loss of community character. Today on the news, we speak with the lead author of a new study from the University of Utah and the University of Arizona looking at over 1500 rural gateway communities. We learn what they found, and their recommendations for the future.
