It’s the last week of April, and for many locals that means an impending rent or mortgage payment. Making housing payments is difficult enough in a tourist town where the cost of living has been steadily and rapidly increasing over the past five years. But throw in a health pandemic – at the exact moment when people were gearing up to work for the season – and making rent seems next to impossible. And later in the news, our partners report on the reopening of wastewater facility on the Utah-Colorado border linked to earthquakes as well as a final BLM plan for a vast swath of public lands in Western Colorado.
