Although Moab has experienced a wet spring, it’s no stranger to fire – both natural and human caused – in recent weeks. After the one-year anniversary of the June 12 Cinema Court Fire last week, another structure fire broke out south of town. The Moab PD are currently investigating the incident as arson. And just yesterday, lightening-caused fire incidents ranged from Canyonlands to the Kokopelli trail and the La Sal Loop Road. In light of these fires, we return to a conversation with Heather McClean, fire prevention technician for the Manti-La Sal National Forest.
