A fire sparked by lightening last week has now burned over 150 acres in the Dark Canyon Wilderness of the Manti-La Sal National Forest. U.S. Forest Service officials say that the Peavine Canyon Fire is cleaning up “nature’s kitchen” by removing vegetation littering the forest floor. And later on the news, Public Lands Corner receives insights into the meaning of wilderness from a kid fresh from an outdoor adventure.
