The director/screenwriter discusses why he chose to adapt the MT Anderson book, the sci-fi movies of the 80s and indie cinema of the 90s that influenced him, and casting the movie with Tiffany Haddish, Kylie Rogers, Asante Blackk, and Josh Hamilton. Finley also digs into why the aliens are obsessed with 1950s’s American television, how own dark view of the future and A.I., and the music and Michael Abels score that soundtracks the film.
