 On "The Extra" Thursday, host Shannon Brinias talked with guests about the "Bundle Up for Small Business" campaign underway in Colorado Springs and El Paso County, helping small businesses weather a difficult period due to the pandemic, and also the competition of out-of-area big online retailers on a shut-in consumer market.  Guests Aikta Marcoulier, Executive Director of the Small Business Development Center and Kayla Huthoefer Nelson, Economic Development Project Manager for the El Paso County Economic Development, spoke about a recent pulse survey showing more than half of the business-owner respondents categorized themselves as struggling and in need of financial assistance.  The creation of the #BundleUp4SmBiz campaign is aimed at urging more shoppers to shop local, and when you do, post pictures and videos on social media using that hashtag!  More information can be found at pikespeaksbdc.org/bundleup and at elpasoco.com and click on Economic Development.
