At 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, Prairie Avenue in front of the Southwest Motors Events Center will be filled with smiling District 60 students holding up pro-peace and pro-community signs as motorists pass by.
This joyful assembly will serve as the culmination of the D60 Community Peace Summit, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Southwest Motors Events Center.
Themed "Make Pueblo A Greater Place Together," this summit is designed to foster peace within the District's student body and network of schools and engage the community and its families in the prevention of bullying and the promotion of inclusiveness.
