Some positive news on the COVID-front: nationwide hospitalizations are down more than 11% from last week, with new infections dropping more than 32% over the past two weeks. But there have still been 3.8 million cases reported over the past seven days. Vaccine distribution has also stalled among eligible children over 5 with less than 40 percent fully vaccinated. British researchers have that vaccines appear to be just as effective against BA-2 as they are against the original BA-1 omicron and delta.
