Attorney General Refused to Testify Before The House Judiciary Committee, What’s Next?

Attorney General William Barr did not show up to testify today before the House Judiciary Committee. The hearing was scheduled to question him about his handling the Robert Mueller report.
The House didn’t go on to Subpoena Barr, nor to condemned him, though it could do so in the coming days. The Attorney General is refusing to testify to the House because he refuses to take questions from staff attorneys. He has also refuses to testify in a close session in which they will be able to talk about classify material concerning the Mueller investigation. It looks like a constitutional crisis is already brewing. House Judiciary Committee Chairman, Jerrold Nadler said that Democrats will continue to negotiate to obtain the full report and that they will have to move quickly to hold the AG in “contempt” if the negotiations fail.
