Many things seemed to follow Muhammad Ali in his heyday, from fans and adulation to scandals and hangers-on. In the late 1970s and early 80s, Ali's career began to wind down and his name had gotten perhaps too huge for him to oversee its use. That's where Harold Smith came in.

The Muhammad Ali Professional Sports promotional company was run directly into the ground by Smith, who ended up in prison.

On this episode of Knuckles and Gloves Boxing Radio, Patrick Connor and Aris Pina detail the scandal and the history behind it.
