Hello friends-

As I’m sure you all have probably noticed, I didn’t keep my promise to podcast at least once a month. In fact, I haven’t posted at all since January. There were a few factors that led to that, but the main one is just how busy my life has become. In January, my husband and I joined a gym and started making some major life changes. At this point I spend 35-45 minutes in the gym four times a week, and take a 75 minute yoga class once a week, and put a lot of time and energy into cooking and planning healthy meals. All of that plus my job plus having a social life plus ever having time for video games and fiber arts means I don’t have much time left for other things, including podcasting.

So. What’s going to happen to Knitbytes? Well, it’s not going to be a podcast anymore. All I can do is apologize for that, but I hope you all understand. At this point it was just adding another layer of stress to my life that I didn’t have the energy to deal with. However, I’m not going to vanish. The plan is to turn this space into a written-and-photo blog, so that I can still share my gaming, my fiber craft progress, my garden (we’re getting a space in our local community garden this year– expect lots of pictures!), and whatever else comes my way. I hope you’ll all stop by sometimes to check it out!

Also, this fall I will again be participating in the Extra Life fundraiser. I haven’t started fundraising yet, but I will let you all know when I do. In the meantime, I may (no promises) be doing some more livestreaming of video games on my twitch channel, twitch.tv/knitbytes. I’ll be posting on Plurk when I do a livestream, so please follow me there if you’re interested in watching and chatting with me. My Plurk username is, as always, pinfish.

Thank you all for your support and camaraderie over the last two years, and I hope to see you around!

P.S.: you may have also noticed a visual change to the blog. I felt that back background/white text was ok for show notes, but not so great for reading long blog posts. I hope you like it!
