In this episode we can’t get that OogaChaka song out of our heads, but we just don’t care because something has to keep us going.

In Adventures in Knitting, Maggie is nearly done the Pine Forest Baby blanket, has been spreading the gospel of spinning to visiting family, and has already started doing some embroidered Christmas ornaments from mmmcrafts.  Not that she’s avoiding a certain frogged double knitting project.  Meanwhile, practically the only thing Karen’s been knitting is the There and Back Again Story Scarf, with some time out to work on some movie socks and to start the Saddleback Cardigan, AKA her Rhinebeck Sweater. :D:D:D  She also kinda maybe sorta bought some yarn but it’s TOTALLY JUSTIFIED, YOU GUYS.

In Geek Squee, we saw Guardians of the Galaxy, and OMG YOU GUYS.  There’s also some big casting news for Agents of SHIELD, more bullshit excuses about why there isn’t a Black Widow or other female-led Marvel movie yet, and Warner Bros. has changed the release date of the Batman & Superman movie.  There’s a photoshop of Chris Pratt that we really really want to be real now as well as some casting rumours for Sherlock we’d like to be real but highly doubt are, there is now officially an otter that is named after Benedict Cumberbatch, and a news item we saw that is tragic and sad but has a little kernel of hope and the power of books in it.  Seriously, check out the content warning above.

In Cravings, Covets and Crushes, Hot Toys has some amazing new figures for Groot, Rocket Raccoon and Gamora which are incredibly detailed as usual, and we have our favourite items from the new Twist Collective.
