In this episode, Karen has been listening to way too many of the Doctor Who audio dramas. :D?  Also her exams are OVER, so the next episode should be a little more timely.

Maggie is nearing the end of her Pfeiffer scarf/hood, though with a slight miscalculation in how the hood attaches to the scarf, whoops.  And that’s pretty much it for her because OMG Hobbit movie looming ever closer, though that hasn’t stopped her from making lots and lots of plans (and buying some yarn).  Karen, meanwhile, has been plugging along on her Eyjafjallajokull shawl, and is nearly done, woo!  She’s also been working on her Bigger on the Inside shawl (all TARDISes, no daleks), and has grand plans of a couple other things she wants to do (spoiler alert: they didn’t happen).

In Geek Squee, OMG WE HAVE A RELEASE DATE FOR SHERLOCK FROM THE BBC, announced in a rather creative way that had the fandom freaking out.  Of course Karen has also been freaking out about the 50th anniversary stuff for Doctor Who, so she’s flailing about “The Day of the Doctor” (no spoilers, don’t worry), as well as “An Adventure in Space and Time”, which seriously, you need to see, but make sure you have Kleenex.  There’s also “The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot” which is just priceless.  Also, Jaimie Alexander is a real-life superhero (again, have tissues ready), Maggie’s been watching  Sleepy Hollow, and palaeontologists have published a paper about an amazingly well-preserved baby dinosaur skeleton find.

In Cravings, Covets and Crushes, we have possibly the best pun and perfume in the world, an unusual action figure (that Karen would totally play with along with Doctor Who figures for reasons), a crazy epic umbrella, a SERIOUSLY AWESOME game for the fanfic writers and fans out there and that Karen really really wants, and the chance for you to adopt a skull.  No, really.  Also yay, new Twist Collective!
