This week we have projects that are ongoing and that are nearing completion.  Good thing too, as we’re starting our first knitalong!  In geeky stuff, there’s some wtf in the form of changes to the Oscar rules, a SOPA-like bill going through Canadian Parliament, and Voldemort reading fanfic.  In the squee, there’s some non-breakage of a major website, a kick-ass teenager who will possibly rule the world someday, and a Certain British Actor reading some naughty, naughty things.  We’ve also got a couple places where knitters and crafters can give back.

The Watson-along is up and running!  We’re knitting the Elementary Watson Socks and other projects inspired by the cabled sweater John Watson wears in the first series of BBC’s Sherlock.  Can’t participate just yet?  No worries, you’re welcome to start at any time!  Check out our Ravelry group for discussion and updates; if you’re not on Ravelry, email us with your projects and we’ll post them on the blog, if you can’t comment on the blog itself (we’ve been having spammer troubles, so it might be a little problematic).

(And yes, somehow there is a lot of thumping and bumping in this week’s ‘cast.  Our bad!  We’ll be sure to remember to pad the mic stand next week.)
