This week, Maggie’s on some fun antibiotics, so she’s feeling a little loopy.  Thankfully she’s finished one very large project and didn’t try working on the others that she has on the go.  Karen, meanwhile, is still working on the same things as last week, though she does have some suggestions for those that are hexipuffing along.  There’s  lots of movie news and some flashbacks to our childhoods, as well as some things for the kids in all of us.  There’s also a reminder that time is ticking away to gift-giving season, so we have a few suggestions on where to look for last-minute knits.

As usual you can email us at [email protected] or join in the discussion on the Knit 1 Geek 2 Ravelry group as well as chatter with us on Twitter.  And you can check out our merch in our Zazzle.com and Zazzle.ca stores!

Tiny Owl Knits Ravelry group and the alternate increase suggestion

Pottermore which is still in Beta, by the way.

J.K. Rowling fought to keep the McGonagall-Snape fight in DH7.5

Men in Black 3!  No idea what it’s about yet, but Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith are apparently in it, so will keep an eye out.  …OMG Emma Thompson is in this too.  Dear God, I want to see this now.

Johnny Depp was nearly in a plane crash.  *shudder*

George Stroumboulopoulos (I admit, I did a cut n’ paste)  interview of Kermit the Frog (link is to the clip on the CBC site, let us know if people in other countries can’t see it, and I’ll find an alternate).  And apparently Strombo now does a show called George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight.  The set looks just like the set of “The Hour”, okay?

Google eBook store is open worldwide!

Kobo Vox.  It’s a tablet!  It’s an ereader!  It’s still not in Chapters so I can’t see how good it is at either.

New Bond!  Skyfall should be coming out in November of 2012.  Mmmm, Daniel Craig…

Walden Media has bought the rights to make a live action movie of Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?  She ransacked Pakistan and pulled  scam in Scandinavia…

Chris Bergmann is possibly the most awesome science teacher ever.

Star Trek Quiet Book.  SO CUTE.  And you can get the pattern on Etsy!

Dr. Watson’s Cabled Crew Neck.  WANT.  Of course I’d want to get some new yarn for it…

NaKniSweMo. NaNoWriMo. WriSoMiFu.  Gesundheit!

Greyhaven Cowl
