Andrew Deutsch – Super geek and founder of the amazing Nerdstrong Gym

For Episode 40 of Kneel Before Aud, you know, the show where I interview geek patriots – I interview the founder of a gym. Yes, I just said geek and gym in the same sentence. You see, I just recently began training at a gym which was a huge step for me, and my guest, Andrew Deutsch is my coach. The gym is called Nerdstrong Gym and Andrew is the founder and one of the many fantastic coaches at the gym.

Nerdstrong has been around for a couple of years here in Los Angeles and I just had to get Coach Andrew to come tell his story about how and why he founded Nerdstrong and let me tell you, it’s a super fascinating and inspirational story. You can’t make this stuff up.

All the coaches at Nerdstrong are geeks in one way or another and one of their mottos is fitness training for those of us who want to become heroes in a collaborative, not competitive, environment. This sentiment really resonated with me. Come in, get fit and let’s talk Star Trek. I couldn’t be happier. Except for the sweating part — I’m working on that.

Andrew and I also talk about moving around when he was younger, how he ended up in Los Angeles, raising a baby nerd and what his approach is to coaching especially when you are dealing with the different personalities that exist in the genre world.

Andrew is very funny, creative and so so so nerdy and I think you’ll really enjoy this session.
