With all the tax changes in 2018, many people believe that they no longer need to donate because they are being told that it is harder to deduct donations on their taxes. First, most people never deducted donations in the first place. Second, they attempted to make taxes easier so you didn't have to itemize but I doubt they intended to lower the amount people donate. So we will go over some numbers and compare 2017 to the new 2018. Pretty simple comparisons to help you see how donating and taxes work.
