In this episode, Tracy talks about the poisonings and malpractice murders committed by Dr. Thomas Neill Cream in Canada, Illinois, and London. She talks about his two prison stays and his eventual execution. In a span of 15 years, he was convicted of 2 murders, stood trial for a third, and faced charges of killing 3 more people. He was also the prime suspect in 4 more poisonings. He is most likely guilty of 10 other homicides, but it may be more. His victims were often sex workers or women who were pregnant out of wedlock. He also tried his hand at extorsion, but wasn't very successful.
The cocktail from today's episode is called the Top Hat. Recipe is below:
1 oz. brandy
1 oz. vanilla vodka
1 oz. chocolate liquor (Godiva)
1/2 oz. cinnamon vodka
1/2 oz. maple syrup
1 1/2 oz. freshly brewed espresso
1 1/2 oz. heavy cream
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into coupe glasses. Enjoy!
