You must have come across some news article or photo or video of the recent rainfall and flooding situation in Bengaluru. Water entered the living rooms and basements of some living communities and people had to be evacuated in boats and tractors. There are multiple reasons behind this situation. Starting with lakes being converted to layouts, encroachment of storm water drains and climate change.
I'm thankful to Dr. Anjal Prakash, Research Director and Adjunct Associate Professor, Bharti Institute of Public Policy Indian School of Business and IPCC author who shared his insights on many questions that I had regarding this situation.
