Jason placeholder is definitely a product of its time, foregoing traditional slasher movie conventions for Scream-style self-awareness, crossed with sci-fi concepts (and Sci-Fi Channel production values).

The guys get (semi) serious about what went wrong with the film, which finds Crystal Lake killer Jason Voorhees resurrected nearly five hundred years in the future on a spaceship populated by sarcastic high school science students. No joke.
