Happy 4th of July! Everyone!, I'm kicking back with a solo episode about the history and celebration of America's independence day. Independence day is a big holiday in America. In this episode, we'll learn about the history of independence day and the important events that took place on July 4th 1776. We'll also explore some of the celebrations that are held on this special day each year. I hope you enjoy this episode!

Fun Facts about July 4! 

The second continental Congress voted for independence from great Britain on July 2nd, 1776. It was revised and signed on July 4th with the last person signing on August the 30th. The first annual celebration on July 4th was held in Philadelphia in 1777 with fireworks, lighting up the sky. Massachusetts was the first state to actually designate the 4th of July as a holiday in 1781. in 1870, the United States Congress finally made the 4th of July a federal holiday Three presidents died on July 4th and all of them were signers of the declaration of independence. John Adams and Thomas Jefferson both died on July 4th, 1826. And James Monroe died on July 4th, 1831.  Growing up in Philadelphia I feel blessed to be close to where our freedome began. The celebrations this year started on June 29th and lead up to July 4th.
