EP-089 Twilight and Young Guns

Champions League review of this week’s matches. No Messi, no Ronaldo, no problem. Did both superstars get bounced in the same way? What does the future hold for both? The kid is amazing! Erling Haaland showed why Host Memo has been so high on this Bundesliga super star. Producer Jay is on board, but where does he land next season? Liverpool surprise the guys, and even Liverpool fans with a resounding Round of 16 victory. All hopes are now pinned to Champions League for the Reds. Pay close attention to Memo’s rule changes for Champions League. The away goal system is flawed, and Memo has the solution.

EPL Matchday 28 was intriguing with relegation implications and the North London Derby. Jay thinks one club is now safe from relegation. The guys discuss Burnley, Brighton, Newcastle, and Fulham. Which one is playing in the Championship next season? Arsenal beat Tottenham! Jose Mourinho said he only looks up in the table, so I guess he can’t see Arsenal sneaking up on his club only four points back. How much does Lingard mean to West Ham?

WTF is a rabona? Or is it the rumba? Was the Lamela goal the most spectacular in the history of soccer as the commentators hyperbolically implied?

Champions League Round of 16 comes to a close this week. The guys take a look at the matches ahead. In all fairness they practically ignore the Manchester City and Bayern matches. All eyes will be on Real Madrid versus Atalanta and Chelsea versus Athletico Madrid. Both matches have the host club with a 1-Nil aggregate advantage. The guys stake their reputations on big predictions.
