In the 99th episode of Keep Moving Forward I interview Passion Students Director at Passion City Church and former tennis player, Grant Partrick.

“Sometimes a smaller dream has to die for a bigger dream to be born.” Grant Partrick’s world turned upside down when he saw his professional tennis dreams die. After injury sidelined him, Grant did not know what he was going to do for the rest of his life. He felt aimless, lost, and alone. But, when he walked into a Passion Conference for the very first time, everything changed. Grant’s life all of a sudden took on a new trajectory, directed entirely by his faith. Though he did not know what life had in store for him without tennis, he put everything he thought he knew into God, praying, “If You have a plan for my life, then I’m in.”

Grant learned that every single thing he learned as an athlete would help carry him through the rest of his life. The tenant, “You don’t get to choose how much talent you get, but you do get to decide how hard you’re going to work”, stuck with him and took on a whole new form when he realized that his calling in this life went far beyond the tennis courts.

It was truly an honor to have the chance to speak with Grant. I have had the opportunity to hear him speak at Passion City Church in Atlanta, GA on multiple occasions, and I am so grateful that I was able to connect with him and share his story on my platform. And I know you all will learn what it really means to keep moving forward by listening in to the story of Grant Partrick.
