Let's break down these last two debates. CNN, Jake Tapper, Dana Bash, and Don Lemon threw journalistic integrity to the wind and went right in for reality TV show optics. Interruptions and staged fights beat our thoughtful questions and meaningful exchanges. Meanwhile, about 18 different unqualified, unknown, or unsuited candidates sucked air out of the room, harming the chances of the eventual Democratic nominee.
So is this crowded field good for Democrats and our democracy, or is it time to thin the herd? Let's dig a little deeper and keep it in perspective.
