On October 6, leaders from UCSB’s chapter of Young Democratic Socialists of America – also known as YDSA – led a Rally for Abortion Rights and Reproductive Freedom. The Rally was part of a national student day of action, with over 50 campuses participating. Through the rally, organizers aimed to protest the recent efforts by the Supreme Court and Congress to limit access to reproductive healthcare; namely, through the overturning of Roe v Wade. KCSB’s Holly Pearson spoke with Uma Clemenceau, one of the YDSA co-chairs at UCSB, about the group's organized day of action.
