The county of Santa Barbara has just finished the construction of a Debris Basin in Montecito. This Basin’s construction is a response to a deadly landslide in 2018, in which 22 people died and millions of dollars in damages struck the community. KCSB’s Rhys Ran Spoke with a representative with the county, Walter Rubacava, about its construction and flood safety.
