Millions of low-income children lost their health insurance this past week in the United States, as the federal government ended a program that guaranteed coverage throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. As respiratory illnesses circulate during the fall and winter seasons, medical expenses could prove costly as families scramble to insure their children. KCSB’s Mario Fuentes-Godinez has the story.
