Inside IV: Social Dis'Dancing in Times of COVID-19

With UCSB & SBCC students studying virtually for Spring quarter, the streets of Isla Vista are much quieter than usual. Even Deltopia, the unsanctioned spring party that drew over 12,000 revelers to Del Playa Drive last year, was hardly a party at all (much to the relief of those promoting physical distancing). Those who did participate were mainly drinking in homes.

In this episode, KCSB's Lisa Osborn speaks with Melissa Cohen, general manager of the Isla Vista Food Coop. Melissa is tapped in to what's happening in IV. She also shares the innovative efforts - including curbside grocery pick-up service that's being offered at the Coop.
