How Juneteenth SB and Black Student Youth SB Are Protesting Police Brutality

Shakir Ahmad is a junior and Talia Hamilton is a senior at San Marcos High School who helped bring forth a list of demands to SB Unified in response to policing in the school district. The demands, which included officers having to go through additional training and evaluation, were accepted last week. KCSB’s Aubrey Valerio spoke with the two students about student activism and what their hopes are for the list of demands.
