Recently, Katie Brown, an Anthropology PHD Candidate at UCSB lead a field archaeology class of Undergraduate students at Mission La Purisima. She identified a 7-meter window of ground where she suspected she would find Chumash rooms in an apartment that hadn’t been excavated at La Purisima. Today, I spoke with Brown on her experiences at the site.
