An 1864 law that criminalizes essentially all abortions was originally ruled enforceable in the state of Arizona. However, the state legislature just repealed the ban, with two Republicans joining Democrats to do so. Democratic Governor Katie Hobbs is set to approve this repeal. Regardless, this highly divisive issue is creating an advantage for the Democratic party in the upcoming November election. KCSB’s Kelly Darroch explains.
