In 1972, John Rubinstein made his Broadway debut as the title character in the original Bob Fosse production of PIPPIN. Since then, he won a Tony Award in 1980 for his performance as James Leeds in the original production of Mark Medoff's CHILDREN OF A LESSER GOD. Rubinstein has also been seen on the Great White Way in FOOLS, THE CAINE MUTINY COURT-MARTIAL, HURLYBURLY, M. BUTTERFLY, LOVE LETTERS, GETTING AWAY WITH MURDER, RAGTIME, and CHARLIE & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY. In 2014, he returned to the world of PIPPIN when he took over for Terrence Mann as Charlemagne in Diane Paulus' Tony Award-winning revival before heading out with it on the road.
