Way too many women will need to protect themselves against the violence of men.  From a guy you are in a relationship with to the random dude at the gas station women constantly are at risk of physically and sexually assaulted.  Women should not have to always be on high alter but unfortunately we are because these men are not held accountable and sadly don't even see what they are doing as wrong.

This episode my guest Maggie Martin, a female self defense instructor, comes on the show to discuss how she ended up doing this type work.  The reason she was the victim of violence and stalking from a man she was in a relationship with.  She no longer wanted to be scared and she didn't want other women to be either. 

We talk everything from home security to hand to hand fighting to gun protection.   As someone who was always squeamish about guns and never wanted one it's hard for me to fathom wanting one.   But I personally have faced so many scary situations that I've been considering training and getting my own gun.  We start going down the rabbit hole of becoming the Buffy we all need to be.
