Blizzard turned the page back in history this summer with the release of Classic World of Warcraft in lieu of a traditional expansion and John Staats, the first 3D level designer at Blizzard, recently published The World of Warcraft Diary.

John joined Katy on the latest episode of KakeBytes to talk about how he went from Dungeon Master (and mod map maker) to dungeon designer, what working on World of Warcraft for ten years was like (including his book) and what he has worked on in the years since.
