On this episode, I spoke to production sound mixer for Killers of the Flower Moon, Mark Ulano.
In 1998, Ulano won the Oscar for Best Sound for his work on Titanic.
He was also nominated for a BAFTA and won a Cinema Audio Society Award for the film.
Since then, Ulano has been nominated for 3 more Oscars (Inglorious Bastards, Ad Astra and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood), 2 more BAFTAs (Kill Bill: Vol. 1 and Django Unchained), and 4 more C.A.S. Awards (Iron Man, Super 8, The Hateful Eight and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood).
Ulano is a titan in the sound space. Killers of the Flower Moon, directed by Martin Scorsese, is out tomorrow.
