Deirdre Sullivan is the award-winning author of Needlework, the Primrose Leary trilogy, and the upcoming book of reimagined fairytales, Tangleweed & Brine, which will be released this September. Deirdre joined Alan and Sarah to talk about a trio of versions of The Little Mermaid, Hans Christian Andersen’s original, the Ladybird version, and of course the 1989 Disney version. The Little Mermaid has been a big, big influence on Deirdre and she has lots of really very interesting things to say about it so let’s get to it.
