On Friday, August 17, 2012, I saw down to have a conversation with New York Times bestselling author Carrie Vaughn on the Geeky Pleasures Radio Show at The Look 24/7 (@TheLook247) to discuss her latest book Kitty Steals The Show, and more.

If you missed the interview, don’t worry. The interview is available below for your downloading and listening pleasure. But first, the show notes.

During the interview, there was an electrical storm taking place in Colorado — where Carrie lives. As a result, the call got dropped numerous times, and we had to cut the interview short. I did my best to edit out most of the dropped calls, but there are still little remnants of it here and there.
Things we discussed during the interview include: All things Kitty; why Carrie has devoted more than ten books and many short stories to this character, and vampires and werewolves; culture and society, and how it is reflected in this series; science and skepticism; the differences between science fiction and fantasy; how “strong” women are normally portrayed in fiction and what it says about society; how Kitty is different; and more.
At the beginning of the interview, you’ll hear the Geeky Pleasures Radio Show theme song by Chris Cogott (@chriscogott)
The length of the interview is 55 minutes 28 seconds
The size is 50.7 MB
The format is mp3, 128 kbps, 44.1 kHz, stereo

In the next couple of weeks, I’ll have a full review of Kitty Steals The Show on Wired’s GeekMom.

I hope you enjoy!
