The year was 1517. On October 31st an obscure monk who was the chair of theology at the University of Wittenberg, wanted to start a discussion about the teaching of the Roman Catholic church. He was concerned about the sale of indulgences, so he nailed 95 theses (statements) to the door of a church.

This was the spark that ignited the Reformation. One of the most important events in church history!

This series explores the Solas of the Reformation. Sola is Latin for “alone.” The Solas are: Scripture Alone, Faith Alone, Grace Alone, Christ Alone, to God be the Glory Alone.
