About Sade Baron and our guest, Rachel Lambo:

Sade Baron is created by a mother, Sade, and daughter, Rachel with one simple goal in mind: To create high-quality vegan body products packed with nutrient-rich superfoods that are good for both your skin and our planet. Skin’s amazingly intricate layers and regenerative powers inspire every one of these products.

When Sade was young, she suffered from eczema and scaly skin. Her grand-aunt stepped in with a homemade botanical remedy of coconut oils and plants. It had amazing results and shaped Sade deeply because Sade developed a lifelong interest in plants and their uses. With Sade, Rachel was blessed to grow up with a mother who always had the solution for any skin or health issue.

Years later, as Rachel started to search for soaps and cleansers, she found a depressing shortage in drugstores and even health stores. It was impossible to find something that was made with only clean, healthy ingredients. “People loved my mom’s oil infusions, and I noticed that,” says Rachel.

Sade was always creating and recommending solutions to people, many of whom she met in her work over 35 years as a nurse and midwife. Rachel knew the power of Sade’s formulas and encouraged Sade to learn soap-making. Armed with her background in branding and advertising, Rachel created the packages and business cards for their first booth at a vegetarian festival in Toronto.

In 2016, they began to sell the first Sade Baron plant infusions within clean, all-natural bar soaps and now the brand attracts a loyal following from around the world.
